Hi there! I’m Jill Sherer Murray.

I’m a TEDx speaker, author, influencer, blogger, coach, and so much more.

I founded Let Go For It℠ to help women let go of what’s holding them back - so they can have the big wild life that’s waiting for them out there.

I’m also an award-winning journalist and communications leader. I can trace practically every success I’ve had in my career, love life, and more to “letting go”.

About me

If you follow my story or watched my TEDx Talk, you probably know that I’m married. And while I came to this whole marriage thing pretty late in life -- at the ripe old age of 43 -- I absolutely picked the right person to grow old with.

I’m originally from just outside of Philadelphia, but took a few detours in Boston, for a graduate degree, and Chicago, to satisfy my wanderlust, before coming back to the area. Now, I’m in Bucks County, PA which is about 45 minutes from where I grew up--between New York City and Philadelphia--in a beautiful and bucolic area rife with farms, wineries, and artists.

Besides my family, friends, and four-legged children, I’m most passionate about walking, art, books, and writing...and I’m a sucker for every online course about creativity and humor I can find (I spent a year studying improvisational comedy at Chicago’s Second City.).

Which brings me back to YOU and this moment. Here and YOU.

I’m all about helping people to let go - so they can make room for what they want most in life. In love, work, friendship, health, and even in a world of chaos and uncertainty (the world being what it is today).

If you’re here, you probably understand the power of letting go, and you feel like you need to do that somewhere in your life. You’re in the right place!

BUSINESS MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS BACKGROUND

I coach and consult with business leaders on how to let go of what’s standing between them and the results they want, with a focus on communications. Using decades of experience and expertise in strategy, execution, writing, facilitation, coaching, speaking, and leadership—and working with powerhouse brands like Gatorade, PepsiCo, IKEA, Wawa, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Trion, a Marsh & McLennan Group Agency, and NFI Industries, to name a few— I help organizations achieve their desired business goals (e.g., more sales, engagement, retention, etc.) by educating, engaging, and motivating key audiences effectively.

Inspiring women around the world

I spent a year studying improvisation comedy at the famous Second City Training Center in Chicago. After letting go of my old self, I re-discovered my passion for speaking; I set out to inspire other women to get the life they’re meant to live.

In 2016, I had the opportunity to speak at a TEDx conference about the unstoppable power of letting go. The YouTube video was watched by millions - and new viewers are still discovering it every day.

That was just the beginning; since then, I’ve had the opportunity to talk at dozens of other conferences, online summits, for organizations and companies. I’ve appeared on dozens of podcasts, done Facebook lives, and written many (many!) articles.

My main topics are

  • How to get a great love life and relationship by letting go of your past relationships,

  • How to have a great career, be better and happier at work, by letting go of limiting beliefs,

  • How to live your best life, by letting go of old wounds and opening up for new opportunities.

Writing

Writing was my first love - and that’s what you’ll find me doing in my free time.

  • I wrote a popular blog called Diary of a Writer in Mid-Life Crisis for the online magazine Wild River Review.

  • I let go of just about everything to put my weight in Shape Magazine as part of a year-long assignment to document my weight loss journey for millions of readers.

  • I’m an award-winning journalist.

My TEDx talk resonated with millions of women, many of which would send me emails, letters, or contact me on social media. Some of them just wanted to share their stories - most wanted more from me. More techniques and exercises to help them let go. Different approaches and ideas to help them put themselves first - so they could confidently move on with their lives.

Those millions of women is why I wrote my book - Big Wild Love - about the unstoppable power of letting go. It contains interviews with dozens of women from all over the globe, research and big insights on limiting belief and the things that are really holding us back from getting the life we deserve… and (of course) journaling prompts, routines and frameworks, and many other practical exercises to help you let go - and move forward.

It’s a must-read if you feel something in your life is holding you back… spoiler alert: it may not be what you think!
